Contactless card that operate in the 13.56 MHz frequency range are typically referred to as NFC cards, and widely used for access control, payment and transport.
NFC card, tags and stickers provide a flexible solution where direct contact with a reader is not required. The typical read range of a NFC card is up to a few centimeters, and with the ability to not only present a chip number, but also functions such as multiple storage areas and stored value makes this product range very versatile.
The most widely known product in the NFC arena is the NXP MIFARE® card.
